John A. Greer
Dr. John Greer is an accomplished, board certified urologic surgeon who specializes in male infertility. He is a founding member of Idaho Urologic Institute. A native of Atlanta, Georgia, Dr. Greer is a graduate of Auburn University. He received his medical degree from Emory University, and completed his internship and residency at Emory.
Fellowship trained in male reproductive medicine and microsurgery at Baylor University College of Medicine, Dr. Greer specializes in the treatment of male infertility, vasectomy reversal, and sperm retrieval for in vitro fertilization.
Dr. Greer specializes in vasectomy, prostate cancer, kidney stones and erectile dysfunction. His surgical practice along with general urology includes the placement of inflatable penile prosthesis and the da Vinci robot for prostatectomy. He actively participates in Idaho Urologic Institute Research.
Raised in Atlanta, Georgia, Dr. Greer moved to Boise in 2000 to open a practice specializing in male reproductive medicine. In his time away from the office, he enjoys hunting, fishing, skiing, and tennis.
Dr. Greer is a member of the American Urological Association, the Idaho Medical Association, the Ada County Medical Society, and the American Society for Reproductive Medicine. He is also a diplomate of the American Board of Urology.
Dr. Greer has medical privileges at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Centers, Boise and Nampa; St. Luke’s Regional Medical Centers, Boise and Meridian; Vibra Hospital, the Veteran’s Administration Medical Center in Boise; West Valley Medical Center in Caldwell; and Steele Memorial Medical Center in Salmon, Idaho.
