Daniel Gealy
Dr. Gealy is a vitreoretinal surgeon who completed his undergraduate training at Washington University in St. Louis, where he received a B.A. in Chemistry and a minor in Humanities. He then attended Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia where he completed his M.D..
His internship was completed at Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle, followed by residency training at Brown University in Rhode Island. He then completed a two-year vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at Retina & Vitreous of Texas, where he had the privilege of working with internationally renowned faculty while treating a variety of complex vitreoretinal disorders. He was also a sub-investigator in several cutting edge clinical trials for macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy and retinal vein occlusion.
He received research awards in both medical school and residency and has presented his work at international meetings and published articles in peer-reviewed journals. He is board certified with the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and American Society of Retina Specialists.
